These are less simplistic and more involved examples that typically involve more than one of the IVE libraries. The examples in IVE 4 have been cleaned up and reformatted. The changes to do so, rather than changes that were made possible or required by the new libraries, account for most of the differences between the IVE 3.3 and IVE 4 source code.
In the IVE 3.3 distribution, the file, EXAMPLE/Makefile, is an IRIX makefile for the applications above and the other sample programs. If you use it as a model, you should replace the ../ in the IWLLIBS and IWCINCL macro definitions with the path to the directory where IVE is installed.
In the IVE 4 distribution, the sample makefile is EXAMPLE/makefile. It has sample macro definitions for different combinations of operating system and compilers; follow the instructions at the start of the makefile to adapt it for your own use.
