I am responsible for the development of electron tomography system. This system provides an automated means to view three dimensional biological structures from two dimensional tilt series acquired on electron microscopes using CCD cameras.

I obtained my doctoral degree in 1999 at the University of Utah. My dessertation is regarding the vortical structures generated by the interaction of trsnsverse jets in crossflows. Those structures hold extensive applications in many areas such as chemical mixing and microchannel cooling. An image based experimental technique was employed to view the vortical structures and to extract quantitative information of those structures.
